Brook Bassan has focused on ensuring city government provides basic services, like improving public safety and improving our quality of life. 

Bassan strongly opposes the “Defund the Police” movement and has led the fight to fully fund our police department.  Bassan worked with our state legislature to pass tougher laws targeting property crimes and continues to fight to END “Catch and Release.”

Having grown up in a family that ran a small business, Bassan understands that small businesses are the backbone of our economy. That’s why she sponsored the bill to provide $10 million in assistance to small businesses who were forced to shutdown during COVID.

Bassan has fought tirelessly to improve the quality of life in our district. She succeeded in getting the final funding for an indoor community aquatic center at the North Domingo Community Center.
